For a while now, I've wanted my 4 Chihuahuas to have embroidered collars with a phone number on them in case one of my doggies gets lost. I've always had the engraved ID tags like most people, but I want them to wear their collars around the clock without hearing something jingle around while I'm trying to sleep. 4 dogs is a lot of jingling!
Poking around on Amazon one day, I noticed there were a few companies that sell dog collars with your pet's name and phone number--perfect! I also noticed that you could buy the engraved ID tags as a combo. I may be broke, but the doggies are like my children, so I decided to get this collar and ID tag combo. That way I could put the name tag on all their harnesses and that would make it easier to tell which dog wears which harness. It's like having quadruplets or something.
But, I was constantly moving around and I changed areas and phones a couple times, and sometimes had spotty service. I'm no fan of AT&T, but it was the only carrier that had something resembling a signal everywhere I was at. And it took me a while to settle on a phone.
Review: First Impressions
Now that I have a stable phone and a few bucks in my pocket, I've ordered them all, I am very pleased with these collars. The ID tags are good quality, but it's the collars that I am really digging on. The lettering really pops. The boys' collars are black with white lettering, and the girls' collars are pink with black lettering, and both look surprisingly good.
I do wish they had a size in between small and medium because Ty is right between Smokey and Spot size-wise, and the medium is just a hair too big for him. Heck, it's just barely the right size for Smokey, and he's huge for a Chihuahua.
The tags are good quality as I've said, and pretty much comparable to most engraved tags you'll find. Note that the size of the tag is proportional to the size of the collar, meaning the larger the collar, the larger the tag. I almost wish I would've made a special note to them to give me the small tag with the medium collar, but it's not that big of a deal.
All things considered, I am happy with the collars, tags, shipping and service. I did 4 separate orders with them just to make sure I was getting the colors, sizes and everything else right, and it's worked out well. Embroidered dog and cat collars are a great idea which give you piece of mind without hearing all the jingle sounds from all of your pet's ID tags. That lets me leave all the tags on their harnesses for when we go for walks.
